Samson is currently an Assoc. Professor at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), and a holder of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) of Makerere University. He also obtained a degree of MSc. HTM from Sheffield University, United Kingdom (UK). At MUBS, he is a Head of Department Leisure and Hospitality Management, and member of management and various academic committees including the Higher Degrees. Samson has supervised many postgraduate students to completion, as well as providing academic leadership to junior staff in hospitality and tourism business management. I have taught, facilitated, guided, helped and conducted training in various organizations, vocational centers, universities and other institutions of higher learning. Samson has served as an external examiner in a number of institutions and universities. I am a member of various executive committees, councils and various international associations. My research interest is on firm internationalization, service innovation, human resource competence and influences on hospitality and tourism industry performance in Africa. I am the principal author of, “African Cuisine; History and Practice”, a book that brings Africa together and which won a Global Award (Africa’s Best Culinary Text 2015) in Yantai, China. Samson has authored and co-authored a number of articles and others are under review with various journals.
