MUBS has recently entered into several key collaborations to enhance student opportunities and contribute to Uganda’s development goals.

This partnership will enable MUBS students to participate in international internships and apprenticeships across Europe and North America. The program will focus on sectors such as Agriculture, Hospitality, Vocational Education, and Nursing, providing students with valuable global exposure. This experience will foster their professional growth and introduce innovative practices to Uganda, ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic development.
  2. Hotel General Managers Association of Uganda (HOGMAU)
MUBS and HOGMAU have joined forces to strengthen Uganda’s hospitality sector by developing local talent. Through specialized training programs, this collaboration seeks to reduce reliance on foreign expatriates and cultivate home-grown hospitality managers capable of leading the country’s thriving tourism industry.

3. VOCCENT Inc
In partnership with VOCCENT, MUBS will integrate a multilingual language learning platform into its curriculum. This initiative will allow students to learn critical languages for international business, improving their employability and enhancing Uganda’s participation in global trade.4. East, Central, and Southern African (ECASA) Group of Consultants
MUBS will implement the ECASA Modern Swahili Teaching and Training Initiative (EMOSI) to promote Kiswahili as a vital business language in the East, Central, and Southern African regions. This aligns with Uganda’s regional integration goals and strengthens the country’s role in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

Significance of the Partnerships

These collaborations are aligned with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and the National Development Plans III & IV. By addressing skill gaps, particularly in the hospitality industry, and improving the global competitiveness of Ugandan graduates, these partnerships are expected to drive socio-economic transformation in Uganda.

5. MUBS-Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) Collaboration

Further reinforcing these efforts, MUBS and DIT have collaborated to ISO-certify partner organizations. This certification will ensure that MUBS students acquire globally recognized skills and qualifications, enhancing their employability and positioning Uganda as a hub for skilled labor in Africa.
