Associate Professor Milburga (Dean Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages, Makerere University Business School, MUBS) met with Head of Department, Languages Literatures and Cultures at Royal Holloway University of London on 24 March 2023.

The engagement encompassed :

1. Professor Ruth +Hemus, Professor of French and Visual Culture, Head of the Department, Languages, Literatures and Cultures, also the Director, Humanities and Arts Research Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London;
2. Professor James Williams, Professor of Modern French Literature and Film in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, also Director of Centre for Visual Cultures
3. Ms Odile Rimbert, Director of the ‘Languages for all’ programme and Departmental Language Co-ordinator in the Department of Languages,
Literatures and Cultures and
4. Dr Marion Joassin, Language Tutor in French, in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures

The purpose of the International engagement was to identify possible areas that the two institutions , Makerere University Business School and the University of London can collaborate together through the student exchange programme and further research in the country in an effort to contribute to economic transformation and poverty alleviation in Uganda.

Assoc Prof. Milburga highlighted possibilities of the two institutions engaging in joint research as a keen interest in the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages
